Many garden birds appreciate live food, including wrens, dunnocks, blackbirds, robins, starlings, nuthatches, great tits, blue tits and thrushes. By placing a live food feeder in the garden, they will be able to provide their young with nutritious and protein-rich food.

Our Live Food & Suet Feeder has a special deep tray, so larvae do not wriggle away. It also has a roof, to shield the food from harsh weather. Our Suet Pellet & Mealworm Guardian Feeder has an outer cage, ensuring larger birds and other wildlife do not eat all the mealworms before the smaller species, such as tits and robins can get to them. All our bird feeders are easy to dismantle for cleaning and filling.

Why feed your garden birds live food?

Birds love feasting on insects, so will appreciate live food. Mealworms (Tenebrio Molitor) are the larvae of the flour beetle, a native British beetle that is found around the world. We do also offer mealworm food to keep your live mealworms in tip top condition.

Ensure your live food feeders are in a position that is easy to access for our garden birds. Our live food feeders are compatible with our Garden Pole System, so incorporating them in your regular bird feeding station will help birds to find them. Offer a fresh supply each day and you will find them quickly eaten.
