This sturdy feeder is made from durable Cedar/Larch/Oak FSC managed timber. The generous hopper can be filled with peanuts. The lid has a solid brass hinge to prevent corrosion. Full FSC timber construction.

Q: How do the Squirrels get the food out?
A: Squirrels very quickly learn to simply lift the lid and take out the food. Very occasionally it can be helpful with a new feeder to place a small amount of food on the front plate to act as a attraction and even prop the lid up for a short spell.

Far stronger than my previous box which the furry friends have destroyed.  Took them a few days to get used to it but no problems now.

Very solid squirrel feeder

This is the second squirrel feeder I´ve purchased, and it´s much sturdier, with thick wood and a good platform for the squirrels to balance on.  Our squirrels aren´t the brightest - it took them awhile to figure out how to access the food.  They chewed through the side wall of the first feeder, at the base of the perspex sheet.  However, now they know what to do, and with the heavy-duty construction of this feeder, it should last much longer.

Our squirrels don´t seem to have got the hang of this feeder yet! We´ve had it for a couple of months now and despite them trying to eat the feeder itself they refuse to open the lid!
