The Butterfly Nectar Feeder is a sheltered sponge feeder that can be charged with sugar/water to feed butterflies and beneficial insects such as bees. It is ideal for use with specially formulated Butterfly Food/Attractant and the sponge can be easily removed for cleaning.
When I ordered this I was expecting it to be bigger, its actually only 7"(18cm). It is niely made and looks nice and I dont think there would be any need for it to be bigger. I soaked the sponge with unrefined dark brown suger and water and put it in the flowerbed near to flowers in early March and have seen a large bumblebee on it. It does need to be hung up though because there was evidence of mice chewing it so I have moved it.
The catalogue is very good with a large range of good quality looking products. Delivery was swift.
