Solitary (non-stinging) Red Mason Bees are excellent garden and orchard pollinators and a species that are under threat and in need of our help.
Bee tubes are specifically designed for solitary species such as the Red Mason and leafcutter bees and can be used in bundles on their own, placed in old pots and are designed for use in our Red Mason Bees Box (see above).
Simply place in the garden facing due south, in full sun and pointing slightly downward, the nesting cylinders could be active from late March until late August and used tubes should be placed in a frost free garage or shed during the winter months.
