Bird Food From Ark Wildlife Ltd

This is the second squirrel feeder I´ve purchased, and it´s much sturdier, with thick wood and a good platform for the squirrels to balance on. Our squirrels aren´t the brightest - it took them awhile to figure out how to access the food. They chewed through the side wall of the first feeder, at the base of the perspex sheet. However, now they know what to do, and with the heavy-duty construction of this feeder, it should last much longer.

daft squirrels!

Our squirrels don´t seem to have got the hang of this feeder yet! We´ve had it for a couple of months now and despite them trying to eat the feeder itself they refuse to open the lid!

Reply from the Ark Wildlife Team: See under FAQ´s. Squirrels very quickly learn to simply lift the lid and take out the food. Very occasionally it can be helpful with a new feeder to place a small amount of food on the front plate to act as a attraction and even prop the lid up for a short spell.

A great feeder, the squirrels love it too, unfortunately from the first day of using it, the squirrels removed the front piece of perspect glass and do so every time, with a lot of the nuts falling to the ground for the magpies, I replace it every time I fill it but to no end, it could just have done with being a tiny bit larger so that they could not remove it so easily.

Squirrel feeders

Just bought the squirrel feeder. Well made and great fun to watch not only the squirrels helping themselves but the Jays have found out how to open the lid too. Unfortunately so have the earwigs and after only a few days in place, the food and feeder was infested with these creatures.
