Wild Flowers - Bats in the Belfry

(Campanula trachelium)
A tall plant of our hedgerows and woods, carrying large blue bells. This striking plant adds colour to shady places, providing an ideal addition to the tall border.

For best results sow in Spring and early Autumn. Can be sown at any time of year providing plants are kept well watered.

Cut back the plants in late September once the seed has fallen.

(Primula veris)
A well known and attractive wildflower which was once very common in fields and meadows. Clusters of small yellow flowers on short stalks are produced during April and May.

For best results sow in Autumn, but can be sown any time of year. Keep well watered and weeded in the early stages.

After the second year clumps can be separaed and transplanted in much the same way as garden primulas.
