Q: When should I put up my nest boxes ?
A: We would recommend putting your Nest Boxes up in the Autumn. This gives the birds plenty of time to investigate and become familiar with them ahead of the breeding season.
Q: When should I clean out my nest boxes ?
A: We would suggest October/November for cleaning out nest boxes. Read out blog click here 
Q: What do you do with the Bird Nesting Material and Holder included in this pack?
A: The Holder should be filled with Nesting Material, then hung from a tree (or something similar) sited close to the nest-boxes; this will encourage the birds to use the nest-boxes.
Q: What if the Bird nesting material becomes wet while it is hung in the holder?
A: The Nesting Material is one hundred percent Wool Tops and is a completely natural product. Wool dries easily and is known for its warmth when used as a nesting material. We also stock Bird Nesting Material Refill packs if you wish to refill the holder each year. (We recommend February - July as the ideal time for doing this).
Q: Can I also use this seed mix in my tube feeders?
A: The Ark Robin Friendly Premium food is a mix specially blended for ground feeding birds. If you put it in an enclosed tube feeder it will absorb moisture, stick & get clogged, so not a good idea. We have plenty of other mixes that would be perfect for the tube feeders.
