What is it?
Hortiwool is 100% pure British wool, nothing else, just wool. This means it`s sustainable, low carbon, planet friendly and highly versatile in the garden.
How does it help?
We have created a useful little pad for use in and around the garden or on your allotment. Wool`s awesome natural properties mean our Hortiwool Pad is multi-use. Natural wool fibres are amazing. Not only boasting awesome protection properties, they insulate, hold moisture and as they break down add vital nutrients to the soil.
Our Hortiwool wool pads harness the awesome power of wool. Wool fibres are naturally insulating, hold moisture, repel slugs and snails and break down in the soil adding carbon nutrients that benefit plants.
Developed with versatility in mind, some of the amazing uses for Hortiwool pads include:
- Protection against slugs and snails
- Hanging basket liners
- Bird and animal bedding and nesting material
- Retention of moisture/water to keep plants, baskets and seeds hydrated
