Ecopond Mud Muncher is an environmentally friendly solution to the problems of sludge & mud build up in fish and wildlife ponds. The formula is a concentrated blend of naturally occurring bacteria called facultative anaerobes, which are proven to reduce the levels of mud and sludge on the pond bottom as well as in biological filters. They do so without harming the fish, wildlife or plants within the pond.
Mud Muncher contains concentrated, selected micro-organisms that digest organic matter such as fish waste, fallen leaves and decaying plant matter, which otherwise causes a build up of sludge. This sludge reduces water clarity and quality and leads to nutrient build up which encourages algae and duckweed growth.
Mud Muncher can be used in conjunction with Barley-bio Algae Control and Duckweed Control throughout the Summer to reduce algae and duckweed problems. It is best used when pond water temperature is above 8 degrees to ensure effective microbial activity.
Ecopond Mud Muncher is formulated from specially blended bacteria and contains no herbicides or pesticides. Safe for fish, newts, frogs, plants, humans, and pets.
Dosage:
50 ml per 4,500 litres (1000 gallons) per week in autumn
20 ml per 4,500 litres (1000 gallons) every 2 weeks in spring/summer
For larger ponds dosing should be increased proportionately.
