An extension of Schwegler`s product range for efficient bat protection, the 2FTH has been designed for universal use and can be installed in woods or attached to structures. Based on the 1FTH, this roost differs in the clinging panels which are wood-free which can be advantageous for certain construction projects where higher humidity means that wood is undesirable.
The 2FTH bat box is an ideal retreat for all bats. This bat box intergrates 5 roost chambers with different properties to accomodate bat species from the smallest Pipistrelles to the larger Noctule. Different chambers are interconnected allowing the bats to change their hanging area within the roost and the open rear panel allows access to the inside of the structure if necessary. Specifically designed to store surplus moisture and emitting it during dry periods enabling a continuously balanced microclimate within the roost.
Made from long lasting (25 years plus) schwegler wood-concrete, it can be used in woodlands or attached to structures, attracts most bat species and is completely self cleaning and maintenance free.
