Constructed from a mix of concrete and wood fibres, WoodStone® nest boxes give excellent protection from predators including woodpeckers, cats and squirrels. The material insulates the nest which creates a more consistent internal temperature than an ordinary wooden box. This is especially important during the breeding season and ensures that young birds have a greater chance of survival.
The 28mm hole will be used by Tree Sparrows, Blue Tits, Coal Tits and Great Tits.
Siting
Hang the nest box with the supplied screw or nail. Face the box somewhere between northeast to southeast, ensuring it is not in the sun all day. Hanging chain also supplied if required.
Hang the nest box at a minimum height of 2 metres in the desired location.
