Very popular among park, forest and land owners, attracting owls (by hanging up Owl Boxes) is an extremely good way to control mice populations.
The front panel of the box can be removed for inspection and cleaning purposes. Owls can be encouraged to use the box if a thick layer of wood shavings or sawdust is spread over the recess in the floor.
