About

Details

Bio-degradable Seed Mats are impregnated with wildflower seeds specifically chosen to attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinating insects.

Straightforward to use and enjoy, simply unroll the seed mat on prepared soil or compost, and secure in place with pegs or stones. The simplest method is to lay the mat flat on bare ground and then cover with 1cm-3cm of sand, soil or compost.

For best results, water well and keep moist during germination and until plants are established. The seed mat is designed to deliberately supress weed growth during germination allowing the wild flowers to flourish.

Over time the tissue paper mat itself will naturally bio degrade into the soil, leaving just the flowering wildflowers behind.Seed mats contain a blend of annual, biennial and perennial seeds and can therefore be planted at any time of year, however for best results, autumn to spring planting is recommended. Biennial and perennial seeds may not flower in the first year, but once established, each mat will provide years of wildflower joy in your garden.

Seed mats can used in pots, containers or on the ground and can easily be cut to size to fit smaller or odd shaped areas.
