Ark Squirrel Whole Nut

Squirrels do not do "table manners" so they are not the tidiest of eaters to begin with. As a lot of the ingredients in the Squirrel Whole Nut are within their shells - once the squirrel has gnawed through the shell to get to the goodies inside they will discard what is not edible - be prepared with your dustpan and brush!

Grey squirrels have a more varied diet than the reds. If you wish to offer further treats for them it is best to stick with what they can find in the wild. They will happily eat apples but you may want to chop them up as they have a tendency to take a few bites and discard the rest. Celery, bean sprouts and carrots will also be readily consumed.

A great supplement to their natural diet, the hazelnuts, walnuts and pine nuts are essential in helping keep squirrels' teeth healthy. The other ingredients offer a variety of benefits with calcium supplements for strong teeth and bones.

Squirrel Whole Nut is a blend of whole nuts and seeds, and the contents can settle during storage and transport. Larger whole nuts may move towards the top of the bag while smaller seeds settle lower down, making the mix appear uneven when first opened. Gently mixing or rolling the sealed bag before use can help redistribute the contents. Providing squirrels with their own food can help reduce their interest in bird feeders, but it will not prevent every squirrel from visiting them. Squirrel feeders and food give them an alternative source of food and can help reduce competition around bird feeders. Position the squirrel feeder away from your bird feeders and introduce it before putting out the food. Persistent squirrels may still visit bird feeders, particularly when other natural food sources are limited.
