About

Details

Our metal bird nesting material older is packed with natural British wool fleece fibre that provide excellent heat retention in all weather. Birds line their nests with animal fibres for warmth and comfort and wool provides both. Additionally, the longer wool strands from the fleece makes the nests particularly strong and more wind and rain resistant than other materials. This gives nesting birds the highest possible chance of successfully rearing their brood.

The powder coated steel holder is long lasting and gives birds a purchase while they strip the woollen fibres they need. It comes complete with its own hanging hook.

Simply hang from a tree, shrub or pole throughout spring and summer. Refill British wool Tops available.

Q: When is the best time of year to put out nesting materials for the birds?

A: The best time of the year is between February and July, helping your birds to successfully raise their young.

Q: Can I put some of the material in the nest box ready for the birds to use?

A: A small amount can be placed in a nest box, but the birds do prefer to weave the material in with the moss and leaves that they find for nesting.
