Feeder Fresh™ Cleaning Spray 500ml

Keeping bird feeders clean has never been more important. Wherever birds gather to feed, there is always a risk of bacteria, viruses and parasites spreading between them, especially during busy feeding periods or outbreaks of diseases such as trichomonosis, avian pox and salmonella. Regular cleaning is one of the simplest yet most effective ways to protect garden birds.

Feeder Fresh™ Cleaning Spray is a fast, easy-to-use anti-bacterial cleaner designed specifically for bird feeders, feeding trays, bird tables and water baths. The ready-to-use spray helps remove harmful germs, dirt and contamination from feeding areas, creating a safer and more hygienic environment for your visiting wildlife.

Unlike harsh household cleaners, Feeder Fresh™ is specially formulated for use around birds. It cleans thoroughly without leaving harmful residues behind, making it ideal for routine feeder hygiene throughout the year. Simply wash and dry the feeder first, spray directly onto the surface, leave for around one minute, then wipe clean with a damp cloth or kitchen towel.

Regular cleaning is particularly important during:

  • Warm weather, when bacteria multiply quickly
  • Wet conditions, where food can become mouldy or contaminated
  • Busy feeding periods, when many birds share the same feeding space
  • Disease outbreaks, especially involving finches and other flock-feeding birds

Using Feeder Fresh™ weekly - or more often during busy periods - helps keep feeding stations cleaner, fresher and safer for birds. Combined with fresh food, clean water and sensible feeding routines, good hygiene can make a real difference to the health of your garden wildlife.

Suitable for use on plastic, metal and wooden feeders, as well as bird baths, feeding trays and tables.

How to Use

  1. Wash and dry feeders before cleaning
  2. Spray directly onto the feeder or surface
  3. Leave for approximately one minute
  4. Wipe clean with a damp cloth or kitchen towel
  5. Allow to fully dry before refilling or reuse

Do not oversaturate.

Size: 500ml

Use: Simply spray on, leave for a minute and wipe off with a kitchen towel. Use weekly or more often when feeders are busy.

Helpful – Caring – Responsible

When Sean McMenemy started Noah’s Ark Wildlife Gardens as a landscaping business back in 1991, little did he know what a huge impact he was to make on the bird feeding and garden wildlife industries over the following decades.

Over 30-years later he still brings the same passion for garden wildlife to work every day, so it’s no wonder we’re so highly respected. Our expertise lies in providing carefully selected natural food and products that offer significant benefits to wildlife – with the type of customer service only true enthusiasm for our subject can bring.

Meeting a demand for natural, nutritious wildlife food

In those early days, Sean constantly received requests for help in making his clients’ natural gardens more wildlife friendly. Requests for bird food encouraged Sean to research bird feeding, and at that time he found problems in the market with quality and service. He knew then the only way forward was to create his own natural, nutritious range of wildlife food and present it in a way which benefited both the wildlife and the customer. Ark Wildlife was born.

The company has steadily grown since those early days, now standing as one of the UK’s largest independent suppliers of bird food and garden wildlife products, despatching over 500 parcels per day across the United Kingdom.

Exceptional service, because we care more than we can put into words

No matter how large our business is now, Ark Wildlife aims to combine the convenience of an online mail order outlet with the caring, helpful touch of a specialist shop. Our people make the difference. We take great pride in the energy, commitment and enthusiasm of our ever-growing workforce, still led by our inspirational driving force, Sean. If you read through some of Sean’s blog posts you will see how knowledgeable he is and how much he cares for the welfare of our wildlife.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I clean my bird feeders regularly?

Wherever birds gather to feed, diseases can spread through contaminated food, surfaces and droppings. Regular cleaning helps reduce the risk of illnesses such as trichomonosis and salmonella, creating a safer feeding environment for garden birds.

How often should I use Feeder Fresh™ Cleaning Spray?

For best results, clean feeders, tables and bird baths at least once a week. During busy periods, wet weather or disease outbreaks, more frequent cleaning is recommended.

Is Feeder Fresh™ safe for birds?

Yes. Feeder Fresh™ is specially formulated for bird feeder hygiene and is safe to use when directions are followed correctly. Always allow feeders and surfaces to dry fully before refilling.

What can I use Feeder Fresh™ on?

The spray is suitable for plastic, metal and wooden bird feeders, as well as bird tables, feeding trays and water baths.

Can dirty bird feeders make birds sick?

Yes. Dirty feeders can harbour bacteria, mould and parasites, particularly when food becomes wet or contaminated with droppings. Regular hygiene is one of the most important parts of responsible bird feeding.
