Nutrient-rich food for your garden wildlife
If you are planning to feed your garden guests, squirrels will appreciate Ark Wildlife’s selection of whole nuts all-year-round. It will be particularly helpful to your local wildlife population in the colder winter and spring months because as well as natural food shortages, they use up lots of energy trying to keep warm.
Keep in mind that all nuts will need to be fed differently and ideally in a squirrel feeder. Whole nuts should not be put out on bird tables during the breeding season, to avoid any risk of young birds accidentally choking.
Our whole nuts include:
- Pine nuts
- Monkey nuts
- Hazelnuts in shells
- Walnuts in shells
Our whole nuts are a source of delicious energy for your squirrels
Squirrels love a good mix of nuts, fruits and seeds, so add some nuts to the squirrel food you offer.
Being rodents, squirrels teeth continue to grow, and gnawing is an essential activity to keep them in the height of good health.
Apart from all these health benefits it`s great fun to watch squirrels fetching, handling and opening whole nuts to get at the kernel inside. Go on, try some in your garden!
Garden wildlife need water as well as food for drinking and bathing. We always recommend putting fresh clean water out every day of the year.
